Virtual staging or in-home staging: choosing for your listing
The difference between furnishing a photograph and furnishing the property—and how listing photography fits with both.

Virtual staging changes the photograph
Virtual staging adds digital furniture and styling to a property image. It can help explain the purpose of an empty room in online marketing. The actual home remains unfurnished, so the edited image should be clearly identified and accompanied by an original view.
Choose this option when your immediate need is presentation in listing photos. Start with photographs you own or have permission to edit, and review each finished image against its original before use.
In-home staging changes the viewing experience
Physical staging places furniture and accessories in the property. That can support both photography and in-person showings, but requires an agreed scope, access, installation, rental period and removal plan.
Before booking, ask what rooms are included, who handles delivery and removal, how long furniture stays, and what changes if the property remains on the market longer than expected. A calendar request alone should not be treated as a confirmed installation.
Photography comes before either editing decision
A professional shoot records the property as it exists. Digital staging is a later presentation step; physical staging is normally arranged before the shoot when the furnished rooms need to be photographed.
StageBurgh creates virtually staged photo examples and accepts availability requests for Pittsburgh-area photography and physical staging. Provider, scope and price are confirmed before any service booking. Keep the choice simple: existing photos to improve, a new shoot to arrange, or furniture needed in the property itself.
